INSTRUCTIONS

"Elite Tag" Game Instructions

Objective:

The goal of "Elite Tag" is to tag as many elites as possible to earn points. The game is a way to symbolically hold elites accountable, shining a light on their actions, while also providing entertainment to the masses. The game lasts for one month at a time and then resets.

Logo Sticker Application:

Ensure that when tagging an elite, you apply the official "Elite Tag" logo sticker. Successful tags without the logo sticker will not be recognized. The sticker should be placed in a visible location, preferably on the upper arm or back.

Registration:

Anybody can register for free as a spectator (to watch, report, or vote) and get points and prizes. Taggers need to register for $5 (that covers the cost of the initial stickers sent).

1. Selecting the Elites:

  • Elites are chosen based on the organizer's list.

  • Elites can be added to a list by popular vote online.

  • Each elite is assigned a point value based on their perceived influence and a unique group color.

2. Points System:

  • Players earn points by tagging an elite on camera. The point value of each elite is specified on the game website.

  • If a player tags the same elite multiple times, the points earned double with each subsequent tag.

  • Every week, the point value of untagged elites increases, making them a more valuable target. Once they have been tagged, their value goes back to the original value.

  • Daily bounties are announced, spotlighting certain elites. Tagging these elites on that day yields bonus points.

  • If a player successfully tags every elite in a specific color group, they earn a special bonus.

  • Multiple Stickers: For a higher score, try tagging the elite with multiple official "Elite Tag" logo stickers simultaneously. Each sticker adds to your points!

  • Sign Tagging: For a successful sign tag, players must covertly place one of the game-approved signs on an elite's back. Capture the act of placing the sign and the elite displaying it unknowingly on camera. Upon successful validation, players will be awarded extra points. Ensure signs are playful and harmless. Using non-approved signs will disqualify the respective entry.

  • T-Shirt Bonus: When attempting to tag an elite, if the player wears a t-shirt bearing the official "Elite Tag" logo, they stand to earn double the points for that specific tag. Ensure that the logo is clearly visible in the footage for validation.

  • Voting points: Everybody that votes correctly (with the majority) gets points for every vote.

  • Sighting points: Everybody that reports a good sighting of an Elite gets points.

3. Special Tagging Challenges:

  • Some elites come with specific conditions for being tagged, adding an extra layer of challenge. These conditions could include:

    • Tagging them while they're wearing a specified color.

    • Tagging them during a particular action, such as when they're sipping coffee or entering a vehicle.

  • Successfully meeting these conditions results in bonus points.

4. Tricks and Strategy:

  • Players can earn additional bonus points by playing a harmless trick on an elite during the tagging process. This might include, for example, handing them a fake invitation or using a clever disguise.

  • Creating Teams: Players have the option to form teams. To create a team, designate a team leader, choose a unique team name, and recruit up to 5 players, including the leader. Remember, a player can only belong to one team.

5. Game Duration:

  • The game lasts one month. After the month ends, scores are tallied on the website leaderboard, and winners are declared.

  • The game then resets, allowing for new strategies and dynamics in the following month.

6. Spectators and Betting:

  • The game is broadcasted worldwide, allowing spectators to watch, comment, and even bet on outcomes.

  • Players might adapt their strategies to win favor with the audience or to gain sponsorships.

7. Entry Submission and Validation:

  • After tagging an elite, players must upload their video footage to the game website.

  • Entries are reviewed by spectators for validation. If the majority of spectators confirm the authenticity of a tagging, the points are awarded.

  • Fake or doctored submissions are disqualified.

8. Safety and Fair Play:

  • Players must adhere to all local laws and regulations. Any illegal activities will result in immediate disqualification.

  • Respect for personal space and boundaries is paramount. Harassment or causing distress will not be tolerated.

  • The game encourages creativity and strategy, not harm or disruption. Play with respect and integrity.
