RULES
"Elite Tag" Game Rules
Objective
Players aim to tag designated elites to earn points. The game seeks to symbolically hold elites accountable in a fun, light-hearted manner. Players must garner the most points within one month to be declared the winner.

Sticker Rule
Only tags with the official "Elite Tag" logo sticker are valid. Any attempt to tag without the sticker or using a counterfeit sticker will result in no points awarded and possible disqualification.

Team Membership Exclusivity
A player can be a part of only one team at any given time. Once they've joined or created a team, they cannot switch or be part of another until the game ends.

1. The Elites:
-
Selection: Elites are predetermined and listed on the official game website.
-
Assignment: Each elite is allocated a specific point value and color.
2. Tagging & Points:
-
Basic Tag: Players earn points by successfully tagging an elite and capturing it on camera. The current point value for each elite is listed on the website.
-
Multiple Sticker Rule: Players can apply more than one "Elite Tag" logo sticker to an elite during a single tag. Each sticker applied during that tag will earn additional points.
-
Repeat Tags: If a player tags the same elite again, the points earned are doubled from the previous tag value.
-
Untagged Bonus: Elites not yet tagged see their point value increase every week.
-
Daily Bounties: Each day, specific elites will have a bounty, awarding additional points to anyone who tags them that day.
-
Colored Groups: Tagging all elites in a specific color group earns the player a bonus.
-
Trick Bonus: If a player plays a harmless trick on an elite while tagging, they receive extra points.
-
Sign Bonus: If a player successfully sticks a sign on the back of an elite without them noticing, they earn extra points. The signs should be harmless and playful in nature. Examples include "Kick me", "I am a moron", "I only value money". Inflammatory or slanderous signs, such as "I am corrupt", will result in disqualification from the game. Players must capture both the act of placing the sign and the elite unknowingly wearing it on camera.
-
T-Shirt Multiplier: Players who proudly display the "Elite Tag" game's official logo by wearing the designated t-shirt during a tag will receive double points for that particular tagging event. The logo must be unobscured and clearly visible in the submitted video for the bonus to apply.
3. Special Tagging Challenges:
-
Some elites have added conditions for tagging. These might include:
-
Being tagged in a specific outfit color.
-
Being tagged during a particular action, e.g., while they're having a drink.
-
-
Successfully meeting these conditions awards bonus points.
4. Game Duration:
-
Each game cycle lasts exactly one month.
-
At the end of the month, the player with the most points wins, and the game resets.
5. Spectator Involvement:
-
The game is live-streamed, allowing global viewership.
-
Spectators can bet on outcomes, potentially influencing players' strategies.
-
Spectators play a vital role in validating tags. Players must upload their tag footage to the game website for validation. If a majority of online spectators affirm a tag's authenticity, the points are granted.
6. Fair Play & Safety:
-
All tags must be harmless and non-aggressive. Physical harm, intimidation, or any form of harassment will result in immediate disqualification.
-
Players must always respect local laws and regulations.
-
The use of fake or doctored footage will lead to disqualification.
-
Privacy and boundaries are paramount. Players should avoid overly intrusive or disruptive methods.
-
No AI-Generated Media: The use of AI-generated photos, videos, or any other form of synthetic media in an attempt to falsely represent a tagging event is strictly prohibited. Any player found to be submitting AI-generated media will face immediate disqualification and may be barred from participating in future editions of the game.
7. Disputes:
-
Any disputes over tags, points, or game conduct will be settled by a neutral committee. Their decision is final.
8. Additional Provisions and Ideas:
-
Safety First: Players must always prioritize their safety and the safety of others. Dangerous stunts, reckless behavior, or any activity that puts anyone at risk is not permitted.
-
Respect and Dignity: Players should respect the personal space and dignity of the bystanders. Harassment or any behavior that might be perceived as such will result in disqualification.
-
Crowdsourcing Feedback: The game website will have a feature allowing spectators and other players to flag or report any suspicious or rule-violating activities. This will help in maintaining the integrity of the game.
-
Age Restriction: Only individuals 18 and above are allowed to participate, ensuring a level of maturity and responsibility in the game.
-
Public Awareness: As the game grows in popularity, a press release or public announcement detailing the harmless nature of the game can help in reducing panic or misunderstandings about the activities of players.
-
Training and Orientation: Before starting the game, participants will go through a brief training or orientation session online detailing the rules, safety guidelines, and the spirit of the game.
-
Restriction Zones: Designate certain areas as 'No Tag Zones.' These will include places like hospitals, religious sites, and schools to ensure that the game doesn't disrupt sensitive areas.
-
Fair Play Pledge: Every participant must sign a 'Fair Play Pledge' before joining, affirming their commitment to uphold the rules and the spirit of the game.
-
Game Moderators: Introduce neutral game moderators or referees who can oversee and validate contentious tag events, ensuring fairness and adherence to the rules.
-
Transparency: To avoid any allegations of bias or foul play, the point tallying and rule enforcement mechanisms will be transparent and available for review by participants and spectators on the website at all times.
9. Legal and Safety Provisions:
-
No Violence or Threats: Under no circumstances should any player engage in violent acts, make threats, or carry out intimidation towards the elites or any other individual. Any participant found to be violating this rule will be immediately disqualified and reported to the appropriate authorities.
-
Respect Private Property: Players are not allowed to trespass or break into private properties, residences, or facilities in the pursuit of tagging an elite. All tagging activities should be conducted in public spaces where there are no legal restrictions.
-
No Slander or Defamation: While playful signs and tricks are encouraged, they must not cross the line into slander or defamation. All statements or signs must be factual, or they should be clearly identified as fictional or humorous in nature.
-
Physical Contact Limitation: When tagging an elite, the touch should be light and non-intrusive, similar to a tap on the shoulder. Any aggressive or inappropriate contact is strictly forbidden.
-
Data Privacy: Players must ensure they don't capture or distribute private data or sensitive information of the elites or any other individuals. All submissions should focus solely on the act of tagging.
-
Liability Waiver: Before participating, all players must sign a liability waiver, ensuring they understand the risks and will not hold the game organizers responsible for any injuries, damages, or legal issues that might arise from their participation.
-
Stay Within the Law: Players are reminded to always stay within the bounds of local, state, and international laws. The game organizers do not condone or endorse any illegal activities.
-
Immediate Disqualification: Any player found to be breaking these rules, engaging in unlawful activities, or causing harm will be immediately disqualified from the game and may face further consequences as determined by the game organizers.
